VALERIA MAGGIORE
is Research Fellow in Aesthetics at the University of Palermo (Italy), Department of Humanities. She took her First Level Degree in Philosophy of Knowledge and Communication in 2010 and the Master Level Degree in Philosophical Sciences in 2013 at the University of Palermo. She received in 2017 a Ph.D in Philosophy at the University of Messina (Italy), Department of Cognitive, Psychological, Pedagogical and Cultural Studies, and awarded a foreign postgraduate scholarship at the University of Lille 3, Department of Human and Social Sciences.
She is currently a Researcher in Aesthetics at the University of Palermo and a member of various philosophical associations, including the Italian Society for Aesthetics (SIE), the Italia Society of Philosophy (SFI) and the European Society of Aesthetics (ESA). She is member of the Editorial board and Referee of several scientific journals such as “Aisthesis. Besides a long-term interest in the relationship between Aesthetics and Biology, she is current research focuses on plasticity, history of aesthetics, morphology and environmental aesthetics.
